Ulster County
Kingston Wedding Photographer
Documentary wedding photography in Kingston, NY by Marlon Ramos. Based in Newburgh, hundreds of weddings photographed, bilingual in English and Spanish.
Kingston has more texture than almost anywhere else up here. The Stockade District has stone buildings older than the country, the Rondout waterfront has boats and brick and a completely different feel ten minutes away, and the whole city has been filling up with people doing interesting things.
For a documentary photographer that variety is a gift. You can move between three genuinely different backdrops in one afternoon without anyone getting in a car for long. I am about forty minutes south in Newburgh and I shoot Ulster County constantly, so Kingston is familiar ground rather than a place I am figuring out on your wedding day.

Common questions
What is your Hudson Valley wedding photography style?
I shoot in a documentary style. I look for the smaller moments that make up the whole of a story, with a touch of elegance through simplicity. I blend in for most of the day, but I'm not afraid to take the lead when something needs to be staged or moved along.
How much does a Hudson Valley wedding photographer cost?
My wedding packages start at $4,500 for 6 hours of documentary coverage and go up to $7,500 for a full 10 hour day with an engagement session included. Pricing varies based on coverage hours, second photographer, videography add ons, and album options. See the full breakdown on the investment page.
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book 9 to 12 months in advance for peak Hudson Valley wedding season (May through October). I take a limited number of weddings per year so I can give every couple full attention. Reach out as soon as you have a date in mind.
Do you offer bilingual wedding photography?
Yes. Soy fotógrafo de bodas bilingüe en el Hudson Valley. I work fluently in English and Spanish, which I find especially helpful for multicultural and multilingual wedding parties across Newburgh, the Catskills, and the Tri State region.
How much of a deposit do you require?
There is a nonrefundable 25% deposit at the time of booking. Full payment is due a month before the wedding. If you cancel within 30 days of the wedding, you will get a 50% refund.
Do you have liability insurance?
Yes, I am fully insured. I can provide a certificate of insurance directly to your venue if they request one.
How long after the wedding will we receive the images?
You will get a sneak peek within 48 hours of the wedding. Full delivery is 2 to 4 weeks because I don't like waiting, and I don't like making you wait. The photos arrive through a private online gallery as high resolution files, edited in my signature style.
Can I customize a package to fit my needs?
Yes. Once we hop on a first call or Zoom, we can dive deep and customize a package around your day.
