Privacy Policy

The short version

I am a wedding photographer, not a data company. I collect the minimum I need to answer your inquiry, deliver your photos, and understand how people find this site. I do not sell your information to anyone, ever.

What you give me directly

When you send an inquiry, you give me your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you write about your event. That goes into HoneyBook, the booking system I run my business on, so I can reply and keep track of your date. If you sign a contract with me, HoneyBook also handles the agreement and payments.

If you join the mailing list, I keep your email address so I can send occasional updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link and using it removes you immediately.

What gets collected automatically

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read, and a Meta advertising pixel to measure whether my ads are working. Both use cookies. Neither stores anything on your device until you accept the cookie notice at the bottom of the page.

If you decline, Google still receives a basic anonymous signal that a visit happened, with no cookie and no identifier that can be tied back to you, and the Meta pixel does not load at all. If you change your mind either way, clear this site from your browser storage and the notice will ask you again.

My hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and troubleshooting. Cloudinary serves the photographs and receives the same kind of request data any image host would.

Who else touches your data

HoneyBook for inquiries, contracts, and payments. Google for analytics and advertising. Meta for advertising measurement. Vercel for hosting. Cloudinary for image delivery. Pixieset for delivering finished galleries to clients. Google Workspace for email. Each of these has its own privacy policy and I have no control over what they do beyond the settings they give me.

I do not sell, rent, or trade your information. The only time I share anything is when one of those services needs it to do its job, or if the law required it, which has never happened.

Photographs of you

If I photograph your wedding or session, your photo contract covers how those images can be used. Unless your contract says otherwise, I may show selected images in my portfolio, on this site, on social media, and in the journal. If you would rather I did not, tell me and I will keep your gallery private. That request is always honored and you do not need a reason.

How long I keep things

Inquiries stay in HoneyBook so I have a record of who reached out and when. Client galleries and finished images I keep indefinitely, since couples come back years later asking for files. Analytics data expires on Google standard retention schedule. Mailing list addresses stay until you unsubscribe.

Your choices

You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email me and I will handle it. You can decline cookies at any time using the notice, opt out of Google Analytics with Google browser add on, and adjust ad personalization inside your Google and Meta account settings.

If you are in a place with specific privacy rights, such as the EU, the UK, or California, those rights apply here too. Ask and I will comply.

Children

This site is meant for adults planning weddings and sessions. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes in any meaningful way, the date at the top changes with it. Continuing to use the site after that means the updated version applies.
